The Beauty Show 2024 Highlights To See

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending The Beauty Show at the Design and Business Centre in Islington, and of course, I could not wait to share my experiences of the show’s premiere event.

First, let me admit that I am a beauty junkie, which meant that as soon as I heard about The Beauty Show (Which was only last week, I do not know what rock I was busy sleeping under), there was no question that I had to go.

While I have been to a beauty event or event three since the lockdown, unfortunately, beauty events have been few and far between, so I was interested to see what beauty experience The Beauty had in store.

My tiny business cards, courtesy of Moo Pint, and I met up with my friend Michelle to make the voyage across London to see what The Beauty Festival had to offer. While Michelle always looks well put together, she does not wear makeup often and has sensitive skin, so I wanted to see if any of the brands would have products suitable for her.

What Is The Beauty Show?

If you have not heard of The Beauty Show before, the event’s name sums it up. The Beauty Show is a brand-new two-day beauty event courtesy of Marie Claire, Woman & Home and Who What Wear. Hosted at the Design and Business Centre Islington, in London, boasting features a jam-packed celebrity line-up across three stages, 100’s of products to shop, and most importantly, a wide range of complimentary treatments on offer, plus an exclusive beauty box containing beauty products worth up tp £189 for attendees for the Standard ticket with beauty box holders. In contrast, the VIP ticket holders had goodie bags with a selection of beauty products worth over £300.

There were many things to see and do at The Beauty Show, from having a facial and checking out the beauty talks to getting your makeup or hair done – all free of charge! And with tons of free samples on offer, I was in heaven. The range of products and treatments was extensive, from skincare to haircare and everything in between. We saw innovative skincare products, hair treatments, and even some unique beauty gadgets that caught our attention.

One of the most thrilling aspects of The Beauty Show was the opportunity to discover new and exciting brands. From the captivating products of Mielle Organics to the alluring range of Lucy Bee Skincare, and the innovative Uklash eyelash serum that caught Michelle’s eye, the show was a treasure trove of beauty discoveries. Not to forget the delightful experience at the Camille Rose stand, where we had the unique opportunity to create our own custom deep conditioner.

What We Got Up To At The Beauty Show

Initially, Michelle and I planned to be at the Beauty Show as soon as the doors opened to ensure we could book any beauty treatments we fancied and look around before it got too busy.

Throughout the event, Unfortunately, a Lupus flare and a case of keys being locked in the house interrupted our plans, so instead, we arrived at the show a little after 1 p.m. The Lupus flare was unexpected and a bit of a setback, but we managed to overcome it and make the most of our time at the show. And the keys incident—well, let’s just say it added a bit of adventure to our day!

However, as we were to attend on a weekday, we did not anticipate how many people would be there, making it harder to get around and speak to the exhibitors about their products; however, I could talk to most of the brands, which sparked my interest. Throughout the day, various hair and beauty experts shared in-depth knowledge about their chosen fields in the beauty talks. These talks covered multiple topics, from skincare tips to the latest makeup trends. I particularly enjoyed a talk on skincare for sensitive skin, which was beneficial for Michelle. I also bumped into friends I had met previously and even chatted with some lovely people I did not know.

The Goodie Boxes/ Bags

I’m not going to lie. I was insanely jealous of the VIP ticket holders swanning around with their lanyards. Their goodie bags looked absolutely massive and were said to contain many full-sized products worth over £300.

The Beauty boxes were also lovely, and I was happy with the full-size, high-quality beauty products.

My Thoughts On The Beauty Show

With its colourful, flirty, fun, yet sophisticated aesthetic on its advertising materials and throughout the event, The Beauty Show was an enjoyable experience. It featured a clever variety of new and well-known beauty brands and products.

Walking around each stall, I couldn’t help but enjoy the atmosphere and pampering. The beauty boxes added more sophistication to the event, making me feel genuinely indulged and pampered.

Okay, the best part about the entire Beauty Show was the beauty boxes and the VIP goodie bags packed full of beauty goodies.

Standard Tickets with a beauty box cost £50, and the VIP tickets cost £135, which I think were reasonably priced, but I will defiantly opt for the VIP ticket next year as VIP attendees also had Ridgeview VIP Sparkling Wine exclusive access to the Ridgeview VIP Lounge which included a dedicated sparkling wine bar and chill-out zone plus early access to the event so they can browse at their leisure.

Overall, I found The Beauty Show quite an unforgettable experience.
