I feel like tights bring back memories of wearing them to secondary school, making us think of them as outdated – but I am here to make it look fashionable, attainable, and even sexy! Let us dive in on how to style and wear Fashion Tights …

Today, the world of tights is a playground of fun and variety. From shimmer to rhinestone to fishnet, there’s a style for every mood and occasion. While you don’t need all of them, a good pair of black basics is a must-have. And if you’re in a cold climate, those fleece-lined tights are a game-changer.

As I mentioned above, a wide variety of tights are available, so before breaking down different stocking outfit ideas, I want to talk about the various types of Tights you will see at stores!

Fashion Tights: Hot Patterns and Colors: to Make Your Outfits Pop

Sheer Tights

They are made of lightweight, translucent material, providing a subtle and elegant look. They are great for adding a touch of sophistication to your outfit.

Opaque Tights

Opaque Tights are thicker and less transparent than sheer ones. They provide more coverage and are perfect for cooler weather or when you want a more substantial look.

Patterned Tights

Add a dash of flair to your ensemble with Tights featuring patterns such as polka dots, stripes, or floral designs. These are an excellent choice for those looking to make a fashion statement.

Fishnet Tights

They are a bold and edgy choice known for their open, diamond-shaped pattern. They can add a touch of rebellion to your outfit, especially when paired with leather or denim. They are also nice to have if you want to add a little spice to a fun fishnet or even a pattern, but again, they are unnecessary.

If you want to take it up a notch, these glitter fishnet tights are a must.

Seamed Tights

Seamed Tights have a visible seam running down the back, creating a classic, vintage-inspired look. They are often associated with old Hollywood glamour and are among my favourites!

Thigh-high Tights

Thigh-high Tights extend up to the thigh without needing a garter belt. They can be a sexy and practical option, often featuring a silicone band at the top to prevent slipping. So, if you want to avoid wearing pants and being restricted, these might be for you!

Coloured Tights:

If you want to add a pop of colour to your outfit, consider coloured Tights. They come in various hues and can be a playful and eye-catching addition.

Remember, the type of tights you choose can be a powerful expression of your personal style. Whether you’re going for a sophisticated look with sheer tights or making a bold statement with a fishnet, the choice is yours. So, go ahead and let your tights do the talking!

Whether it’s a fancy dress or a casual sweater dress, tights can add a touch of chic to any outfit. I personally prefer to pair my black tights with black shoes to maintain a uniform look and elongate my legs on my petite frame.

Remember, there’s no rule that says you have to wear black shoes with your tights. It’s all about personal preference and what makes you feel confident and stylish.

If you do not love wearing dresses, skirts are a great way to pair with your Tights. The skirt can be any length or style! It is a great way to keep those legs warm during the cooler months and still look chic! I like black in the winter months, ha-ha!
