There are Black beauty events, and then there are experiences that understand Black beauty deserves the full luxury treatment. Not just a few familiar brands, samples, and an Instagrammable backdrop, but premium products, expert knowledge, thoughtful service, and a space where Black and Brown women aren’t an addition to the guest list; we’re the reason the room exists. Because luxury beauty should be about more than what sits on the shelf. It’s about access, discovery and feeling completely considered, from the products we’re introduced to and the experts speaking to us, to the experience itself.
The Beauty Beat 2026 belongs firmly in the second camp, emphasising its cultural importance for Women of Colour and Black Beauty in London.
Although the beauty industry has become noticeably better at talking about inclusivity, being included in somebody else’s beauty conversation isn’t quite the same as being at the centre of it.
The Beauty Beat flips that script.
The weekend is designed to foster a sense of community among Women of Colour, creating a space where you feel connected, supported, and inspired through beauty discovery, expert conversations, masterclasses, live demonstrations, shopping, and the kind of beauty chat that makes you text the group immediately: Who’s coming with me?
And, yes, there is a goodie bag.
But that’s really not the most interesting thing about it.

The Beauty Beat 2026: What You Need To Know
First, the details worth putting in your diary.
The Beauty Beat 2026 takes place at the QEII Centre in Westminster on Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November, running from 10 am to 6.30 pm.
In-person tickets are currently £85 and include a goodie bag. Tickets need to be booked in advance, so if you’re already mentally assembling your outfit, you can check availability and book The Beauty Beat 2026 through Eventbrite.
If you’re not quite ready to commit, following The Beauty Beat on Instagram is probably the smartest move to stay connected and get updates as October approaches.

So, What Exactly Is The Beauty Beat?
The Beauty Beat is an annual luxury beauty event focused on Women of Colour and Black Beauty, featuring brands, expert talks, education, demonstrations, shopping, and community. Founder Donna Dia recognised that Black and Brown beauty consumers often felt overlooked at high-end events, despite the lavish experiences. This event aims to address that gap by centring their unique experiences.

Black Representation In Beauty
Representation in beauty isn’t just about deeper shades or campaigns featuring Black models. It also involves creating environments where Women of Colour with diverse backgrounds and concerns feel genuinely seen and valued, not just accommodated as a demographic after others are considered. This focus aims to make you feel truly recognised and appreciated.
At The Beauty Beat, that audience is the starting point.
That’s what makes it feel culturally relevant rather than inclusivity being bolted on at the end.

From Frustration To One Of London’s Most Interesting Beauty Events
London, despite its diverse population and bustling beauty calendar, lacks significant Black beauty events. While there are beauty launches and masterclasses, dedicated spaces for Black women and Women of Colour are still scarce. Afro Hair & Beauty LIVE stands out as a key event, and now The Beauty Beat 2026 aims to elevate Women of Colour in luxury beauty, covering makeup, skincare, hair, and wellness.
The Beauty Beat’s story is particularly inspiring because its founder, Donna Dia, took the initiative to create what was missing. She transitioned from luxury events to build a platform for Women of Colour, encouraging others to pursue their passions and showing that starting anew can be challenging, especially amid real-life responsibilities.
Donna talks about that transition in a fascinating HELLO! interview about leaving her high-flying career in her forties, including why walking away ultimately became one of her best decisions.
That backstory adds another layer to The Beauty Beat. It wasn’t invented because somebody spotted a convenient gap on a trend report. It came from lived experience of that gap.

Let’s Discuss The Goodie Bag
Every £85 in-person ticket for The Beauty Beat includes a goodie bag with full-size beauty products, although the contents may vary. Unpacking these goodies at home is exciting, but it shouldn’t be the main reason to attend. The real value lies in access to experts, in-person product discovery, new techniques, and meaningful connections and experiences online shopping can’t replicate. I’ve seen this at events like Stylist Live, which emphasise that the best lifestyle events are much more than just freebies. For more insights, check out my coverage of Stylist Live: The VIP Edition 2025.The Beauty Beat vs Other London Beauty Events
London is getting very good at the beauty-event thing.
At The Beauty Beat has a more specific cultural proposition.

Women of Colour aren’t simply part of the audience. They’re the core audience.
Neither concept needs to be declared universally better. They offer different experiences, and if you’re seriously into beauty, there’s a very good argument for doing both.
That’s also exactly why I’ve created my Social Life & Experiences edit: a place to collect beauty events, fashion experiences, London days out, and shall we book it? Moments that actually give us a reason to close the laptop and leave the house.

Brands At The Beauty Beat 2026?
The official brand lineup for The Beauty Beat 2026 hasn’t been announced yet, but expectations are high based on previous years. The 2025 event featured established names like Fenty Beauty, NARS Cosmetics, Tatcha, and Black-founded brands such as KAYALI and Cantu. For 2026, there are hints of continued collaboration with NARS and involvement with brands like got2b and MPWR Hair. While nothing is confirmed until the official announcement, we hope to see a mix of luxury brands, cult favourites, and those that cater to textured hair and deeper skin tones.
I’ll update this guide as the official names start dropping, but in the meantime, follow The Beauty Beat on Instagram for the latest brand reveals.

Sensitive Skin? Don’t Let Free Samples Make You Reckless
At beauty events, there’sa fascinating trend that emerges: perfectly rational women can transform into adventurous souls, ready to slather on six unfamiliar products at the mere mention of the word “complimentary.” But here’s a friendly reminder: please resist that allure!
If your skin tends to react or if you’re already navigating a skin condition, think twice before diving in. At The Beauty Beat, the treatments and samples come from various brands and practitioners, so it’s crucial to share any allergies, sensitivities, or relevant health information—like pregnancy before trying anything new.
Your skin will thank you!
For evidence-led information about skin health rather than product marketing, the British Skin Foundation has accessible information covering a wide range of skin conditions, while the British Association of Dermatologists provides expert-backed patient information.
And then there is the goodie bag.
However tempting, don’t introduce five new skincare products on Sunday night.
Your face does not need its own afterparty.

More Beauty, More Wellness, More Reasons To Treat Yourself
If The Beauty Beat has put you in the mood for a properly good beauty season, there’s plenty more to explore.

And because beauty and wellness increasingly live in the same conversation, I’m currently giving one reader the chance to win more than £145 worth of products in my Elevate Wellness Bundle Giveaway. If collagen, supplements and a little wellness reset are already on your radar, it’s worth entering while the giveaway is live.
The Beauty Beat Is Bigger Than A Goodie Bag. Beauty events are often seen as just shopping in better lighting, but the best ones offer much more. They provide access to experts, encourage consumers to ask questions, spark conversations, and highlight new brands. The Beauty Beat 2026 is a prime example, emphasising that Women of Colour are influential beauty consumers in their own right. We deserve the same expertise and attention as anyone else.
I can’t wait for the 2026 lineup! As we announce new brands and speakers, I’ll keep you updated. If you’re thinking of attending, I’d love to hear what excites you most—whether it’s masterclasses, engaging panels, or even the goodie bags! Share your thoughts in the comments.
