The 2026 Beauty Advent Calendars Worth The Hype

2026 beauty advent calendars surrounded by beauty products with LUSH, LOOKFANTASTIC, Cult Beauty and Harrods calendars.

I’ve always loved advent calendars. Growing up, it was exciting to wake up each December morning to open a new little door. It wasn’t about the size or cost of the surprise; it was the anticipation and the daily ritual leading up to Christmas that I cherished.

I still love this tradition, but these days, the chocolate has been swapped for lipstick, fragrance, and skincare—even some fancy serums. A good beauty advent calendar brings back that same daily excitement in December, which makes it feel both nostalgic and hard to resist.

My love for advent calendars has made its way onto Wot’s Her Name Again? as well. I’ve been writing about them on the blog for years, so if you want some festive nostalgia, check out my Beauty Advent Calendars guide and compare it to my 2025 edit. It’s amazing to see how much beauty advent calendars have changed. What started as a fun swap for chocolate is now a major event in the Christmas beauty world, with waitlists, early access, luxury exclusives, and bigger price tags.

Hosting an Advent Calendar giveaway has become part of my Christmas tradition, too. In 2024, I got to share that excitement with a reader through my LOOKFANTASTIC Iconic Beauty Advent Calendar Giveaway. It made me happy to know someone else could enjoy the same feeling I’ve loved since I was a kid—opening a new beauty surprise each morning as Christmas gets closer.

By Christmas 2025, the beauty advent calendar giveaway had become a real Wot’s Her Name Again? tradition. You can still meet the LOOKFANTASTIC Beauty Advent Calendar 2025 winner, but what I love most is sharing some December excitement with someone from this community. That’s why I’m already thinking about which calendar should be in this year’s Giveaway Lounge—and this time, I’d love your help choosing.

Let’s talk about this year’s beauty advent calendars as the holidays get closer. Many 2026 calendars already have waitlists and pre-orders, which makes me wonder if spending over £200 on one is really worth it.

This year’s options are even more extravagant. Selfridges is teasing something new, LUSH is all about festive pampering, Cult Beauty packs in over £1,100 worth of products, LOOKFANTASTIC is set at £120, and Harrods comes in at £2I love the excitement of an advent calendar, but I also want to make sure I’m getting real value. A high estimated value doesn’t mean much if I won’t actually use most of the products. I’m comparing the 2026 calendars by price, number of products, how many are full-size, brand selection, value, and availability. Most of all, I want to know if I’ll be excited to open each day, because that’s what makes December special.

Selfridges Beauty Advent Calendar 2026

Selfridges is being coy about its 2026 beauty advent calendar, sparking curiosity. The retailer announced a starting price of £250 for the main calendar, with hints of additional offerings for fragrance fans. However, details like the full contents, number of days, and amount of full-size products remain undisclosed. At £250, I want clarity on all three. While past editions have cemented Selfridges’ place in luxury beauty advent calendars, I won’t recommend spending this amount without a balanced mix of skincare, make-up, fragrance, and haircare, plus substantial sizes to justify the price.

How To Buy The Selfridges Beauty Advent Calendar 2026

You cannot buy it yet. Selfridges is encouraging shoppers to join its free Unlocked membership programme to be among the first to know when the 2026 calendar becomes available.

Right now, my feeling is simple: let’s wait and see. Selfridges has caught my eye, but £250 has to be justified once we know what’s actually inside.

LUSH Advent Calendar 2026

The LUSH Advent Calendar 2026 is a unique pick at £210, with 25 days of festive favorites and 10 exclusive treats. Instead of a bulky box, it comes in a reusable wicker hamper with an organic cotton liner. This calendar is all about bath and body care, not high-end makeup. Standout products include North Pole Shower Gel, Sleepy Bubble Bar, and Snowdrift Bath Bomb. LUSH also lists the size of each product, which makes it easier to compare.

LUSH Club members can already pre-order the calendar exclusively through the LUSH app. The brand expects to begin dispatching orders in October 2026.

For me, this is the ideal self-care choice. At £210, it’s not cheap, but it truly delivers. If your December luxury involves a long bath and beautiful fragrance, LUSH is a better option than a calendar filled with make-up you might not use. If beauty and wellness rituals interest you, check out the Wot’s Her Name Again? Beauty & Wellness edit for products worth discovering.

Cult Beauty Advent Calendar 2026

Cult Beauty’s 2026 advent calendar comes in two versions, each priced at £245. The Signature Edition ships worldwide, while the Special Edition, which includes fine fragrances, has shipping restrictions. The total value of the contents exceeds £1,100, but that’s not my main reason for buying. I’m more interested in discovering trending products alongside established favourites that justify the price. Since the full lineup is still being revealed, I plan to wait before deciding. A calendar filled with £1,100 worth of desirable beauty products is more appealing than just the total value alone.

How To Buy The Cult Beauty Advent Calendar 2026

Cult Beauty is keeping the exact launch date secret for now, but its priority waitlist is open. UK shoppers will receive free next-day delivery, and anyone who buys the calendar on launch day will receive a £20 Cult Beauty gift card.

Cult Beauty could become one of my favourites for beauty discovery, but I want the complete reveal before declaring £245 money well spent.

LOOKFANTASTIC Beauty Advent Calendar 2026

The LOOKFANTASTIC Beauty Advent Calendar 2026 is priced at £120, making it more affordable compared to £200-plus calendars. It reportedly contains 27 products, including 19 full-size items, with a total value of £665. The full launch is set for 1 September.

This price is £90 less than LUSH, £125 less than Cult Beauty, at least £130 lower than Selfridges, and £150 less than Harrods. While it doesn’t automatically mean LOOKFANTASTIC is better, the pricier calendars have more to prove.

This year’s curation includes beauty creators and hairstylists with brands like Medik8, MAC, Colour Wow, and more. I’m excited about this calendar as LOOKFANTASTIC has become a Christmas tradition for me.

In 2024, one reader won the entire thing through my LOOKFANTASTIC Iconic Beauty Advent Calendar Giveaway. The following Christmas, the tradition continued, and you can still meet the LOOKFANTASTIC Beauty Advent Calendar 2025 winner.

I love sharing the excitement I have always associated with advent calendars with someone else, which is why I am already thinking about what should happen in the Giveaway Lounge this Christmas.

At £120, LOOKFANTASTIC appears to be the best value in this comparison, offering 27 products, including 19 full sizes. Its position may change depending on other calendars.

Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar 2026

The Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar 2026 is priced at £270, making it the most expensive option in this selection. It features 32 luxury beauty products from brands like Augustinus Bader, Tatcha, and Charlotte Tilbury. Highlights include a full-size Augustinus Bader’s The Rich Eye Cream and a £75 CurrentBody Skin voucher. It’s important to separate price from value; for those who regularly buy luxury skincare, the total cost may feel justified. However, for others, the £270 price tag may not feel worthwhile if the products don’t appeal.

How To Buy The Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar 2026

Unlike several calendars in this edit, you do not need to join a waitlist. The flagship Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar is already available to pre-order directly from Harrods.

There is also a smaller 12 Days of Hair & Body Advent Calendar for £99, which is worth knowing about if you like the Harrods proposition but cannot quite bring yourself to spend £270 on an advent.

For pure beauty-hall fantasy, Harrods currently has the edge. The question is whether that fantasy is worth an extra £150 compared with LOOKFANTASTIC.

Which 2026 Beauty Advent Calendar Gives You The Most For Your Money?

This is where the allure of beauty deals can become misleading.

When a retailer claims that its £245 calendar is packed with over £1,100 worth of products, spending that amount can start to feel justifiable. However, that’s not the case. You are still spending £245.

The key calculation isn’t just about the retail value minus the purchase price. What truly matters is the value of the products you would realistically use or buy for yourself.

If you would genuinely enjoy using £500 worth of products from a £200 calendar, then there’s a strong argument for its value. On the other hand, if you would only be inclined to buy £100 worth of the contents, the significant savings advertised on the website become largely irrelevant.

Full Size Versus Mini: Look Beyond The Product Count

When you spend over £200 on an advent calendar, full-size products matter, but smaller items can also be valuable. Mini fragrances are great for travel, and deluxe skincare samples can help you test expensive products like a £100 serum. Smaller mascaras are practical because they have a short shelf life.

Be cautious of advent calendars filled with items typically given as free samples. Check the millilitres and grams of each product, along with the total number of items. Thirty products sounds impressive, but make sure they’re all desirable.

Will The Make-Up Shades Actually Work For You?

When it comes to beauty advent calendars, brands often overlook shade inclusivity. Many brands promote products as “universally flattering,” but individuals with deeper skin tones know this isn’t always the case. Blush, bronzer, highlighter, and nude lipstick can fall flat if they don’t cater to all skin tones.

Additionally, there’s a conversation around “Feel Confident Without Makeup,” which explores the connection between beauty and self-assurance without relying on makeup. This perspective encourages you to create a beauty routine that resonates with you personally, redefining beauty on your own terms!

Sensitive Skin And A Bathroom Full Of New Products

Opening a skincare product on 7 December doesn’t mean you have to use it immediately, especially if your skin is sensitive or affected by conditions like Lupus. Beauty advent calendars can introduce several active formulas quickly, which may overwhelm your skin barrier. It’s wise to set aside unfamiliar products until you’re ready to try them; check ingredients, patch test as needed, and introduce new items gradually to identify any reactions. Always seek personalised advice from your healthcare team if you have skin-related health conditions. Remember, there’s no need to rush through your advent calendar by New Year’s Eve.

What About All That Packaging?

Beauty advent calendars are inherently extravagant, featuring multiple surprises tucked into intricate packaging. However, packaging should factor into their value. LUSH’s £210 calendar stands out with its reusable wicker hamper, organic cotton liner, and eco-friendly materials. When choosing a calendar, consider if the outer box can serve as storage post-Christmas. Ultimately, the question remains: will you genuinely use the products you buy, or will you choose the one that looks great on Instagram?

When Should You Buy Your 2026 Beauty Advent Calendar?

It’s frustrating to see Christmas beauty products being promoted so early when it’s still August. While LUSH, Harrods, and others are opening pre-orders, there’s no need to rush into buying. Take this time to research and join waitlists for calendars you genuinely like. Wait for full product reveals and compare sizes and shades before deciding. Set a budget for launch day, especially if you’re looking at calendars in different price ranges. Ultimately, choose the one you truly want and try to resist the temptation to keep browsing.

If you want to see how quickly the category has evolved, compare this year’s launches with my previous Beauty Advent Calendars guide and 2025 Beauty Advent Calendars edit. It is fascinating to see how much earlier the launches are becoming and how firmly beauty advent has moved into luxury-shopping territory.

So, Which 2026 Beauty Advent Calendars Are Worth The Hype?

At this stage, there’s no clear winner among beauty advent calendars, as each serves a different purpose. LOOKFANTASTIC offers great value at £120, featuring 27 products, including 19 full-size items. LUSH is ideal for a self-care ritual, while Cult Beauty has potential but needs its complete line-up reviewed before justifying £245. Harrods delivers luxury, and Selfridges remains unpredictable with its new 2026 strategy.

This guide highlights the 2026 calendars that are genuinely worth the hype—not just the highest or most expensive, but those offering desirable products in usable sizes at justifiable prices. £270 can lead to delightful experiences in December, but it can also bring regret in January if you don’t spend it wisely.
