Mayfield’s Lavender Farm Afternoon Tea For 2 The Ultimate Treat For Summer 2025

Mayfield’s Lavender Farm Afternoon Tea For 2

On a Monday afternoon, I found myself surrounded by lavender in Epsom, enjoying the Mayfield Afternoon Tea for 2 Experience at Mayfield Lavender’s Brand-New Secret Lavender Garden. This was a thank-you treat for my lovely stepmother, who had taken care of my dog, Sassy-Love, while I was away recently. The experience, which cost £70, was a delightful way to spend an afternoon.

Mayfield Lavender’s Brand-New Glasshouse Cafe

Located just fifteen miles south of central London, this new 12-acre space is the passion project of owner Lorna Maye. After more than a decade in the making, the Secret Lavender Garden is now open. With its lavender-lined paths, iconic red phone box, and magical purple keyhole door, this place is a real-life fairytale.

Fun Fact: Lorna named it the “Secret Garden” because of the hidden winding trails and peaceful pockets throughout that make you feel like you have stumbled into your own private wonderland.

Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by the staff, making us feel right at home. Fortunately, the weather was on our side, providing a pleasant break from the heat and allowing us to fully enjoy the picturesque scenery outside.

We began our experience with a choice of Prosecco or Lavender Lemonade, a refreshing and subtly sweet drink with a hint of lavender. We opted for the Lavender Lemonade, which was a perfect choice for the warm afternoon.

Afternoon Tea consisted of lovely, fresh sandwiches – the salmon and cream cheese ‘Chefs’ Kiss’, sausage rolls, and quiche, plus the scones: big, light, and airy with clotted cream and strawberry jam, and a selection of cakes and macarons, deliciously presented on a wooden tea stand with a unique handle!

Followed by a choice of tea or coffee.

We intended to take a leisurely stroll through the twenty-five acres of beautiful, organic lavender, grown without pesticides or chemicals and certified by the Soil Association, and take some pictures, get.

Mayfield Lavender Farm is one of the UK’s most Instagrammable summer hotspots!

However, as the temperature had started to rise, we decided to ditch our intended cheeky stroll and instead check out the gift shop.

Mayfield Lavender Gift Shop

The Mayfield Lavender Gift Shop is a treasure trove of unique lavender products, all crafted with organic lavender oil. From lavender sachets to bunches of lavender, and even lavender teas and fudge, there is something for everyone. The shop also offers a variety of traditional gifts, all infused with the delightful scent of lavender. The unique lavender-themed products will surely pique your interest and make you want to explore more.

Mayfield Lavender Gift Shop Haul

I bought some lavender oil and lavender sachets, which I placed in the drawer where I keep my pyjamas. This way, I can enjoy the lovely lavender scent when I go to bed. I also hang the sachets in my wardrobe, as the sales associate advised that they help ward off moths (in hindsight, I wish I had bought more for them).

The thought of purchasing the lavender honey lingered in my mind, and I don’t know why I did not go through with the purchase. However, I am already planning my return to the Mayfield Lavender Cafe.

Final Thoughts About Mayfield Afternoon Tea for 2 Experience

I highly recommend the Mayfield Afternoon Tea for 2 Experience.

I had a fantastic time at the stunning Mayfield’s Lavender Secret Garden.

The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The staff at the Mayfield Lavender Cafe and gift shop were not only friendly but also exceptionally so.

The warm welcome and attentive service at the Mayfield Lavender Cafe made our experience even more enjoyable. We felt truly valued as guests, which added to the overall charm of the place.

I am big on customer service, so when I get it, I always express my appreciation by giving a tip if appropriate or letting the management staff know how pleased I was with my experience.

The elegantly served tea, the vast and fresh scones, and the delightful lavender lemonade left me eager for another visit, and I cannot wait to return to this beautiful spot!

Mayfield Lavender Cafe is the perfect spot for a delightful lunch with friends or family, offering a wonderful blend of nature and culinary delights, with a faint scent of lavender in the air.
